About the Program:

What is Standard Insurance Roadside Assistance Program?

The Roadside Assistance Program is a value-added service that provides towing and other services in case of accidents or mechanical breakdown. Membership is given FREE to all clients with Comprehensive Motorcar Insurance Policy.

Who are qualified for the Roadside Assistance Program?

  1. All Standard Insurance clients with Comprehensive Motorcar Insurance policy provided that:
    • the insured Vehicle is not used for public, merchandise transport or for hire.
    • the insured Vehicle does not exceed 3,500 kilogram in weight.
    • the insured vehicle is not more than twelve (12) years old.
  2. Applies to motorcar policyholders, whether individual, fleet or dealership accounts

What are the benefits or services covered under the Roadside Assistance Program?

For Accident Benefits:

  1. Towing
  2. In the event of an accident where the vehicle has been damaged and unable to run or rendered a total wreck, the Service Provider will arrange to transport the Vehicle to the nearest accredited repair shop (5 star shop) of Standard Insurance or client preferred motor shop.

  3. Removal of the Vehicle
  4. In the event of an accident where the Vehicle has fallen in a ravine or the like, the Service Provider will arrange to have the Vehicle remove with the use of a crane and brought to the nearest accredited repair shop (5 star shop) of Standard Insurance or client preferred motor shop.

    Note: For the above benefit/service with respect to the repair costs of the Vehicle, the assured will only pay an amount of Php100.00.

For Non-Accident Benefits:

  1. Towing
  2. In the event of Breakdown of the Vehicle, the Service Provider will arrange to transport the Vehicle to any preferred repair shop of the client. The maximum amount payable is four thousand pesos (P4,000.00), any excess shall be for the account of the client.

  3. Removal of the Vehicle
  4. Minor on-site repairs such a jumpstart, battery boosting, tire changing, delivery of gasoline (cost of gasoline not included), and car lock-out.

    Note: The above services shall apply for an aggregate of 3 events per car member per year.

Other Services:

  1. Medical consultation via telephone
  2. The member may seek a medical advice over the phone (24 hours assistance), up to a maximum of 2 calls per member per year.

  3. Un-repaired vehicle within 48 hours
  4. In the event of vehicle breakdown where the CLIENT is 25 kilometers away from the city of residence, the following OPTIONS could be availed:

    Option 1:Client may stay in a hotel up to P2,000.00 per night, maximum of two (2) consecutive nights, any excess shall be for the account of the client

    Option 2:Client may request for an alternative transport in returning to the usual place of residence or continuation of trip to destination.

    Note: To avail the above, client has to call the Hotline of the Service Provider.

  5. Relay of Information

    1. Hospital' addresses and telephone numbers
    2. Standard Insurance' accredited service shops, its addresses and telephone numbers.
    3. Contact details of PNP and MMDA

  6. Legal Assistance on Motor Insurance Claims
  7. Consultation on LEGAL matters pertaining to Motor Insurance Claims, Service Provider will refer the client to Legal Department of Standard Insurance.

  8. Relay of Urgent Messages
  9. At the request of the member, the Service Provider will arrange to convey urgent or very important messages relating to event.

  10. Arrangement for Ambulance Assistance
  11. (Payment for the ambulance fee will be for the account of the client)

  12. Claims Assistance
  13. Relay of information on required document for processing of claims by the Members

  14. Program/Benefit Inquiry
  15. Client may inquire about the Roadside Assistance Program, for easier availment.

Areas with stationed providers are the following:

  • Benguet
  • Pangasinan
  • Bataan
  • Bulacan
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Pampanga
  • Tarlac
  • Batangas
  • Cavite
  • Laguna
  • Rizal
  • Iloilo
  • Bacolod
  • Cebu
  • Cagayan de Oro
  • Davao
  • General Santos
  • Tacloban
  • (For areas not listed, assistance can still be arranged by the provider nearest location of the vehicle)

    What are the exclusions of the Roadside Assistance Program?

    1. The Roadside Assistance Program will not be liable to provide any assistance that arises directly or indirectly from:
      1. Fraudulent acts by any member or any other person seeking services under the program.
      2. Consequential loss of any kind.
      3. Extraordinary phenomena such as floods, earthquake, volcanic eruption, unusual cyclone storms,falling of astral bodies, or meteorites, unless the extraordinary phenomena subsides and the roads become passable, service may be rendered as long as it will not cause damage to the tow truck and or endanger the lives of its service crew.
      4. Terrorism, mutinies, or riots.
      5. Actions by the armed forces, or security forces, or other organizations
      6. Nuclear radio activity
      7. The participation of the Member in:
        • competition sports
        • competition,rallies,or contests
        • wagers or challenges
        • criminal conduct
      8. The participation of the Member in risk activities such a motor sports
      9. The deliberate act of the Member
      10. Illnesses or pathological states produced by voluntary consumption of alcohol,drugs,toxic substances,narcotics,or medicines acquired without legal prescription.
      11. Suicide or attempted suicidee,mental illness,pregnancy,abortion or childbirth,preventive medical check-ups,thermal treatments,aesthetic surgery,acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS),and trips whose objective is receiving medical treatment or surgery.
      12. Labor related accidents or illness suffered during the professional activity qualified as a risk activity.
    2. The Roadside Assistance Program will not be liable to provide any assistance in case the driver of the Vehicle:
      1. is under the influence of drugs,toxic or narcotic substances,or his/her blood alcohol level exceeds that permitted by the law.
      2. is not in possession of a valid and subsisting driver's license corresponding to the class of Vehicle being driven
    3. The Roadside Assistance Program will not be liable for the cost of any repairs to the Vehicle.
