Organized by the Manila Yacht Club In February 2009, the Manila Yacht Club's Presidents Cup Regatta returns to the island of Boracay for the second time combined with the Standard Insurance-Smart Infinity Manila to Boracay Race. The 202 nm, Category 3 Manila to Boracay Race will start in the waters of Manila Bay off Roxas Boulevard on February 14 2009 and will finish in front of Boracay's fine powdered Long Beach. It will be followed by The President's Cup Regatta from February 17 until 21 which will be sailed in the waters around Boracay and Tablas Islands. Boracay's beautiful island, tropical waters, strong and consistent winds results in exhilarating sailing not commonly seen in the region, Boracay has become an excellent yacht racing destination. The regatta's parties combined with the famous beach front watering holes have also enhanced the regatta's reputation as the place to be.
